Travel south to Calabria! Our original  version of this classic Calabrian spicy sauce with our Vermont farm twist is back! This delicious sauce is made with roasted Le Page Farms eggplants blended with our farm grown sweet  peppers and Hot Basque peppers, balsamic vinegar and oregano.

Ingredients: Eggplants, Sweet Peppers, Organic Olive oil, Hot Peppers, Oregano, Salt, Balsamic Vinegar

Medium/ + on the Vermont spicy scale.

With spicy in the name, I was hoping there would be some 'kick' and this sauce does. I appreciate the use of carrots, giving this sauce a unique flavor that is a bit hard to describe. Frankly, I have used this on the pasta, but also part of one of the jars as a dip for crudites; heck I even ate a few bites with a spoon right out of the jar! My delight with all the sauces is high, though this is one of my favorites.
