This savory "pie" comes from the province of Reggio Emilia. Erbazzone is a typical breakfast in Reggio but is also a very famous appetizer/antipasti!

2 layers of our housemade rough puff pastry are filled with our farm grown swiss chard, spinach and kale, tons of parmigiano reggiano and herbs. We are using a special Parmigiano Reggiano that has been aged for 28 month form 4th generation farm Agienda Agricola Bonat . Topped with Nigella Seeds this is our farm inspired take on this classic Italian treat is perfect for lunch, breakfast or anytime!

Ingredients: Pastry Crust (wheat flours, butter, EVOO, sugar, salt) Swiss Chard, Kale, Spinach, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, Oregano, Salt, Balsamic Vinegar, Nigella Seeds.

I always have at least two in my freezer. They are great as an appetizer or with soup or salad .

Another winner!

When I finally decided to give it a try, I was very glad I had for it has become an item I treat myself to at regular intervals.. Erbazzone Tradizionale is delicious and satisying on it's own with a delicious crust and a generous amount of filling that is very flavorful. Often I do 'gussy it up' and put an egg on top, then microgreens on top of the egg...perhaps all of it on a bed of arugula and use a knife and fork. I am able to have for sure 2 servings, but often I can spread out the enjoyment and get 3 servings.

I would eat this every day

I fell in love with the Erbazzone with my first bite. Did the cooking class with Jennifer to learn how to make it but they do it SO much better than I ever could. I always make sure I have one in my freezer!
