This savory summer "pie" comes from the province of Reggio Emilia. Sauteed farm grown swiss chard, kale and spinach get mixed with tons of our farm grown oregano, parsley, basil, and dill as well as Sweet Rowen Farmstead's Farmers Cheese, roasted garlic, and onions. This filling is encased in a flaky pastry crust and baked until golden.
Erbazzone is a typical breakfast in Reggio but is also a very famous appetizer/antipasti!
